Creating a Layout

The Trading Container:

The modules or templates that exist in a container can be removed and/or reshaped and moved to new locations within the container.  To move a container:

  1. Left click on the container heading and continue to hold down on the mouse.
  2. Now, drag the module to its desired location (all while holding down the mouse).  The shape of the module will show itself.
  3. Once the new location is selected, release the mouse and the module is dropped in its place.

Taking a new space within a container:

The above method works easily when simply dropping a module into an already existing section of a container.  But, if you want to create a new space altogether within the container layout, follow the same steps as above, BUT, align the module in its intended location and notice the shape it makes.  If the shape is what’s desired, release it.  If not, continue to move the mouse until the desired shape is found.  Once you’ve got it, release the mouse.

Saving your layout:  layouts are automatically saved upon exiting the system.  So, when you close TradeHawk for the first time after changing the layout, whatever your layout, it will be saved for your next entry into the system.

The Options Grid or O-Grid:  the O-Grid can be configured and custom named.  In fact, you can create multiple O-Grid layouts.  Accessing your custom O-Grid layouts are in the lightning bolt within the O-Grid itself (upper left section).  Click the lightning bolt, choose Grid Format and select your choice.  Note:  the upper Grids are hard coded and CANNOT be modified.  These hard-coded layouts can only have columns rearranged.  Your custom layouts for Options Grids can be configured, including add/removing columns using the Gear Icon in the lower left of the platform.

Once in the Gear Icon, choose Options Grid.  To create your custom Grid layout, follow these steps:

  1. Hit Create Layout.
  2. Give your layout a name and hit Create
  3. Next, select the layout from the list (it will highlight the layout in “TradeHawk Orange”.
  4. Columns in the middle are available.  Choose as needed and hit the right arrows to add to your layout.  Do the opposite to remove columns from your layout.
  5. Once complete, make sure to click on “Save Layout”!

The above steps will add your layout to the lightning bolt and you can select it from the Grid Format drop down.
