How does FPSL affect the ownership of my stocks and my ability to sell my positions?

FPSL technically does affect your ownership of your shares, you can close your long position anytime on the website or recall your shares to restore your position by opting out of the program. Keep in mind, once you do close your shares or recall your stock, you are no longer entitled to receive any income on that closed position.
