Creating a Custom Layout in CQG Futures Trading and Tradier Web

Custom layouts allow you to arrange widgets, link tools, and organize your workspace in a way that suits your trading process. This guide explains how to create, link, and manage custom pages within the platform.

Important: Futures and options on futures involve substantial risk and are not suitable for all investors. You should fully understand the risks involved before trading.

Before You Begin

Consider your trading experience, objectives, and financial resources before placing trades. Review the risks and contract details for the products you intend to trade.

Steps to Create a Custom Layout

1. Open the Side Menu
  • Click the three lines in the upper-left corner of the platform to open the menu.

  • Your default home screen will appear at the top.

2. Add a Custom Page
  • Click More → Add Custom Page.

  • A new page will be created with an auto-generated short name.

  • Assign a color by clicking the box next to the name.

  • Color coding can help with visual organization when working with multiple pages.

3. Add Widgets
  • A new page starts with a blank widget.

  • Click on a widget (e.g., Charts, Quotes) to add it in full-screen view.

  • Use the buttons below the page to add more widgets.

  • To rearrange widgets, click and hold a widget’s tab and drag it to the desired location.

4. Link Widgets
  • Click the small circles next to a widget to assign a color link.

  • Widgets with the same color are linked. For example, selecting a symbol in a linked Quote Spreadsheet will update a linked chart or order ticket automatically.

  • You may assign different colors to different workflows for easier identification.

5. Build and Adjust Your Layout
  • Add as many widgets and pages as needed.

  • Rearrange by dragging tabs or resizing panels.

  • Switch between tabs to compare different configurations.

6. Manage Custom Pages

Click the three dots on any custom page to:

  • Rename the page

  • Duplicate the page

  • Open in a new window

  • Share the page link

  • Delete a page you no longer need
