How to Customize Your Options Grid

The Options Grid comes with a default set of columns out of the box. If you want to choose your own columns — Greeks, volume, intrinsic/extrinsic value, and more — you'll create a custom layout, then apply it to your grid. This article walks you through both steps.

Step 1: Create a custom layout

  1. Click the Settings (⚙️) icon in the lower-left corner of the platform. The Settings panel will open.

  2. In the left-hand menu, select OptionGrid, then make sure you're on the Columns tab.

  3. Under Layouts, type a name for your new layout in the text field. Use something descriptive — for example, the strategy or symbol you'll use it for.

  4. Click Create Layout. Your new layout appears in the list and is automatically selected (highlighted orange). If it isn't highlighted, click it before moving on.

Step 2: Choose your columns

  1. With your layout selected, you'll see two lists: available Columns on the left and your layout's selected columns on the right.

  2. Click a column to select it, then click the right arrow (>>) to add it to your layout. To remove a column, select it on the right and click the left arrow (<<).

  3. Don't forget to add Strike. The Strike column is not included automatically in custom layouts, so be sure to add it.

Step 3: Save your layout

  1. Click Save Layout.

  2. You'll see a confirmation message that your layout was saved successfully.

  3. Exit the Settings panel using the Exit button in the upper-right corner of the panel.

Step 4: Apply your layout to the Options Grid

  1. In the Options Grid, click the lightning bolt (⚡️) icon in the upper-left corner of the grid. This opens the grid's display menu.

  2. Hover over Grid Format. You'll see the built-in formats (Greeks, Markets, Simple, Trade) along with any custom layouts you've created.

  3. Click your custom layout. The grid updates immediately with your selected columns.

Step 5: Rearrange your columns (optional)

You can reorder columns directly in the grid:

  1. Click and hold a column header.

  2. Drag it to the position you want — for example, moving the B/S column between Bid and Ask.

  3. Release to drop it in place. There's no save button for column order — see below.

Saving your changes

Your layout and column arrangement are saved automatically when you close the platform normally — the X in the upper-right corner on Windows, or the upper-left corner on Mac. The next time you open the platform, your Options Grid will look the way you left it.
