Managing Trades in Tradier Pro

Using the Portfolio Page to View, Organize, and Close Positions

Once a trade is filled, where does it go?

In Tradier Pro, every open position lands in your Portfolio Page—your inventory of live trades.
The portfolio isn’t just a list; it’s an interactive workspace where you can view, group, and close trades with just a few clicks.

Portfolio Views

There are three different views inside the Portfolio Page. Switch between them to match your workflow:

View

What It Looks Like

When to Use

Flat View

Think Excel spreadsheet: simple columns, every position in one continuous list.

Perfect for quick scans or when you want raw data.

🌳 Tree View

Positions are grouped by symbol, and you can drill down into each stock to see its options and trades.

Ideal for staying organized by underlying.

Custom View

Create custom groups by selecting positions and assigning them to a named group.

A lifesaver for spread traders running multiple spreads in the same month.

Customizing Columns
  • Every column (Greeks, P&L, cost, days to expiration, etc.) is configurable via the ⚙️ Settings menu.

  • Recommendation: Set your P&L calculation to midpoint to avoid misleading last‑trade prices.

Reading Your Positions
  • P&L Columns: Show value and cost (we do the math for you).

    • Green = positive, Red = negative.

  • Quantity: Shows the number of contracts in that position or spread.

  • Days to Expiration: Track how long until options expire.

Closing Trades

Close an Entire Spread:

  1. Find the position in your portfolio.

  2. Click the ticket icon to the left of the expiration month.

  3. All legs are instantly loaded into a closing ticket—labeled buy to close or sell to close automatically.

  4. Adjust prices or quantities if desired, then hit Send.

Close Part of a Spread:

  1. Click directly on the quantity of the leg(s) you want to close (for example, only the call side).

  2. Those legs will populate the ticket in closing form.

Close a Custom Quantity:

  • In the multiplier box, type a smaller number than your full position.

  • Example: You hold 50 spreads but only want to close 10—type 10.

Lightning Bolt Shortcuts
Beside each position you’ll see a ⚡ Lightning Bolt menu.

Use it to:

  • Roll a position to a new strike or date.

  • Trade instantly at bid/mid/ask without sending to a ticket.

  • Send a leg to other modules like Towers, Option Grid, or Watchlists for deeper analysis.

Why It’s Powerful

The Portfolio Page isn’t just for monitoring—it’s your command center for:

  • Organizing complex strategies.

  • Closing or adjusting trades with precision.

  • Rolling or grouping spreads for maximum clarity.
