Tradier Pro – Placing Your First Trade
Single Options, Spreads, Ratios, and Beyond
The Trading Container in Tradier Pro is your central hub—your cockpit for placing trades and managing positions. Here’s how to place your very first trade, from a simple single‑option order to a multi‑leg spread, with all the customization and power at your fingertips.
Step 1: Get to Know the Trading Container
The Trading Container is made up of modules—flexible panels you can configure to fit your style.

✅ Options Grid | Calls on the left, puts on the right, strikes down the middle. Fully customizable with Greeks, open interest, or any data you need (configure via the ⚙️ settings icon in the bottom left). |

✅ Watch Lists & Trading Tower | Monitor symbols and quickly send trades. |
Step 2: Placing a Single Option Trade
Find your symbol:
Type your stock symbol in the option grid and hit Enter.
(You can also create and save symbol lists in settings.)Select your strike:
Click on a Bid to buy, or Ask to sell (this behavior is configurable in ⚙️ settings).
Adjust Quantity by typing in or toggling the box.
Preview your trade:
Hit Preview to see max profit/loss, cost, and risk graph.
Click Send to submit your order.
(We don’t use separate Buy/Sell buttons—your action is embedded in the ticket.)
Edit or clear:
Click X to clear individual legs or the entire ticket.
Step 3: Building a Spread
Spreads are just as easy—click multiple options (up to four legs) to build your trade.
Green legs = Buys
Red legs = Sells
The ticket will show debit or credit pricing (bid/mid/ask).
Edit price by clicking bid/ask or typing your own.
Dynamic editing:
Drag and drop strike legs in the grid to adjust strikes on the fly.
Move the entire spread by clicking in the strike column and dragging to a new spot—ratios and distances remain intact.
Step 4: Adjusting Ratios
Want to turn a simple spread into a ratio spread (like 1x2)?
Use the Ratio box to adjust each leg’s quantity, or
Simply click the same strike again to increase its quantity.
Your spread and pricing will update instantly.
Step 5: Custom Spreads & Spread Editor
Right‑click on any option to access preset spreads (2‑leg, 3‑leg, 4‑leg).
Or launch the Custom Spread Editor (⚙️ settings) to:
Create your own named spread templates.
Load them instantly into the ticket.
Edit legs freely, drag and drop, and tweak until perfect.
