Spread/Single Toggle in Tradier Pro
Overview
The Spread/Single toggle in Tradier Pro gives you control over how the order ticket builds options positions. This feature determines whether each click on the options chain creates a single-leg order or adds multiple legs to build a spread.
How It Works
Located in the order ticket, the Spread/Single toggle offers two modes:
Spread Mode: When the toggle is set to Spread, each click on the options chain adds another leg to your order ticket, allowing you to build multi-leg spread strategies. You can add up to four legs total. The system recognizes you're constructing a spread and keeps all selected legs in the ticket.
Single Mode: When the toggle is set to Single, each new click replaces the previous option with your newly selected option. Only one leg appears in the order ticket at a time.
Example
If you're in Single mode and click on a 678 put, then click on a 688 call, only the 688 call will appear in your order ticket—replacing the 678 put.
If you're in Spread mode and follow the same sequence, both the 678 put and 688 call will appear as legs in your order ticket.
Who Benefits
This feature is particularly useful for active traders who want to quickly navigate the options chain and evaluate different single-leg options before placing a trade. The Single mode allows you to efficiently compare different strikes and expirations without building unwanted multi-leg orders.
