Using Watchlists in Tradier Pro

Track stocks and options in one place

Overview

The Watchlist in Tradier Pro keeps your most important symbols and options right at your fingertips.
There are actually two types of watchlists in the platform—one in the Trading Container and one in Charts—and both are easy to manage and customize.

Inside Charts (access via ⚙️ Settings)

Symbols specifically for charting workflows.

In the ⚙️ Settings menu, you’ll see two tabs—one for each watchlist.

Adding Symbols

  • Add a stock: Simply type a symbol like XYZ into the Watchlist and press Enter.

  • Add an option:

    1. Find the option in your grid (e.g., a XYZ call expiring soon).

    2. Right‑click → Send to Watchlist → pick the list you want.

    3. The option appears at the bottom of that list instantly.

Creating & Managing Watchlists

You can maintain multiple watchlists—think of them as playlists for your trading:

How To Do It

Create a New List

Click ⚡ Lightning Bolt → Create New Watchlist → Name it → Create.

Edit or Delete

Click ⚡ → Edit or Delete.

Import/Export

Use the export/import buttons to share watchlists with others or bring one in from a file.

Lightning Bolt Actions

The ⚡ Actions menu next to each symbol lets you:

  • Remove a symbol from the list.

  • Send a ticker to the Options Grid, Ticket, or Trading Tower.

  • Create advanced orders on the fly.

Customizing Your Watchlist

  1. Open ⚙️ Settings → choose the Watchlist tab.

  2. Add or remove columns (like Volume, Bid, Ask, Greeks, etc.).

  3. Use arrow buttons to order columns as you like.

  4. Resize columns by dragging edges.

Dynamic Features

  • Double‑click a symbol in the Watchlist → instantly updates the Options Grid.

  • Track both stocks and options side by side.

  • Remove expired or inactive options anytime via ⚡ → Remove.

Example: Adding Options

  1. Search for XYZ in the Options Grid.

  2. Right‑click a sample option (e.g., a 100‑strike call) → Send to Watchlist → Options Only Watchlist.

  3. It appears instantly at the bottom of your list.

  4. Repeat for other sample strikes to build out your custom list.
